Setting Projects – first thing to do – so all the assets remain as one.

If middle button doesn’t pan – turn on the middle mouse button (in preferences) This will allow you to tumble, zoom an pan by holding cmd or alt

Tap Space bar shows different views

Hold Space Bar shows quick menu.

Recenter your view by clicking f

Shift A – reframes views

W – Move

E – Rotate
R – Scale

Z – Undo

Cmd D – Duplicate

Shift + Click – Select Multiple


Channel Box – shows history and translation details

Attribute Editor – Important…

Window – Outliner = shows you all objects in the scene.

2 Ways to do the same thing:

Add cylinder from Polygons menu

Create- Polygon Primitive – Cylinder

Edit Objects:

Channel box editor, type in details.

Right click hold – brings up menu where you can select different aspects of the object.  e.. Vertex, sides, whole object.


Edit Mesh -Edit Face – Extrude

Mesh Tool – Insert Edge Loop

Shift hold – right click – Vertex – Merge Vertex
